How do I fit it?

The Rexing S5 is designed so you can fit it yourself with no cutting and no drilling — the manual walks you through every step.

 

*If you hit a snag while fitting it, call the technical support number in the manual any weekday between 9am and 5pm and we'll talk you through it.

Step 1 – Fit the mount to the camera.

Slide the suction mount onto the camera and stick it to the windshield just below the mirror.

 

Step 2 – Connect the power cable

Take the Type-C and 12V socket adapter from the box, connect the power cable to whichever suits your car — the 12V socket or the Type-C port — then run the cable to the camera.

 

Step 3 – Install the phone app

Scan the QR code from the box with your camera, download the app and pair the device to your phone over Wi-Fi.

 

Step 4 – You're ready to drive.

 

Set it up once and your dash cam powers on automatically the moment you turn the ignition on, then drops into parking mode when you switch off. Every mode can be adjusted from the app.

When the camera's battery dies, does it drain my car battery?

After 24 hours in parking mode the S5's own battery runs down. If it detects a low charge in your car battery — 0.2V below the 11.6V threshold — it shuts itself off after 60 seconds. That low-voltage cut-off protects both your car battery and your Rexing S5.

Does it record audio?

Yes. The S5 has a built-in microphone and records audio whenever you want it to. If you'd rather it didn't, switch the microphone off in the app.

When will my order arrive?

We prepare your order within 2 business days. Once it's with the carrier it usually reaches you in another 1–3 business days.

What happens when the SD card is full?

Once the SD card in your S5 fills up, the camera starts overwriting the oldest clip and keeps recording indefinitely.

How do I track my order?

Can I fit it myself, and will there be cables everywhere?
